Café Fridolin in Cologne

The breakfast and the coffee are delicious. It's a bit like sitting at Grandma's in the Fridolin. If you want to be nostalgic, you feel at home here :-) The cake didn't blow my socks off, neither in terms of the selection nor in terms of appearance, therefore no 5 *****

The breakfast is very tasty and nicely presented. Price performance absolutely in order. We sat inside and unfortunately there was seldom service because the outside area was also open.

This was our second time at this cafe, waiting for the first experience to improve. Unfortunately it was worse. It took us more than 15 minutes for the waiter to bring us the menu and the same amount of time for him to take note of us (we had to point it out to him, although he kept walking past our table with a slightly lost expression). Rather disoriented workers who do not know which table the commands belong to. After almost an hour and a half, we were finally able to start breakfast.

The bagels and coffee were very good. The service was absolutely underground. Arrogant, slow and bored staff. Part of the order was forgotten and no longer brought on request.

Great place. Prices are very cheap.

Small but very nice cafe with a retro look. :) That's what makes the restaurant very comfortable. Cakes and coffee are not only a feast for the eyes, but also a culinary delight.

Im not exaggerating when I say they have awesome cakes (especially cheese cakes) coffee was great, staffs were friendly and really cosy alternative atmosphere with some unique paintings on the wall. They’re always busy but not super crowdy. Saw that they serve nice breakfast/ foods as well. A little gem in Ehrenfeld!

Very beautiful Café. Food and Drinks are delicious and the Café is only about a three minute walk away from the train station Venloerstraße/Gürtel. The Atmosphere is very laid back and relaxing and everything has a very Nostalgic but lively vibe. One of my absolute favourite Cafés. Also really good music and friendly staff. I highly recommend going to Café Fridolin, especially when you have a lot of time at hand because you won't want to leave. It exceeded my expectations by far.

Small coffee in the beautiful Ehrenfeld. Yummy cake. Heat and cold drinks. Dog are welcome, water is of course also for you. And also hot food freshly prepared. The staff courteous, accommodating and nice. What more do you want ?! Look at it yourself.

Super relaxed shop. The old school sofas and armchairs are super comfortable. The atmosphere is maximally relaxed. The coffee is delicious. The bagels and grandmas stalls are awesome. If you bring a bit of time here feels super well. We will be back.

We had breakfast here very delicious. It is a bit like grandma's and the dishes are in keeping with the style. The breakfast was lovingly served on tiered dishes, with delicious dips, jam and sausage / cheese. There are exceptional coffees and cocoa. Highly recommended ??

Still my favorite café in Cologne. The cosy and welcoming atmosphere, from the comfortable sofas, to the decorative plates and friendly staff, is hard to beat. Plus, I love that they have many vegan and vegetarian choices! ?

Cozy beautiful warm island in the heart of the warmth of Ehrenfeld. A super cool place for winter and you can eat the best cheese cake there
